KAVAN V15 is a 24-channel RC kit for advanced recreational and sport modellers working on a Twin 2.4GHz transmission system with full telemetry support. It boasts a peak response time of up to 4 ms, with a range of up to tens of kilometres . You can also choose ACCST D16 or ACCESS transmission systems, also with telemetry. The V15 can therefore be paired with a wide range of KAVAN or FrSky receivers, telemetric or not, with conventional PWM and serial outputs.
The V15 design adopts the design and proven elements of the V20 transmitter, but is smaller, lighter and more portable. It is suitable for controlling a wide variety of aircraft models or heli/multi-copters. It is also easy to set up for ships or land models, for example. To do this, use the wide range of functions and mixes available in the ETHOS™ operating system. You can conveniently adjust these to your own preferences using the aluminium multifunction rotary knob and the ETHOS interface.
It features a pair of high-precision cross controllers with an aluminium plate. This ensures perfectly smooth movement of the sticks in every direction. Their position is sensed by high-quality Hall sensors. Compared to potentiometers, they have higher resolution and are not subject to mechanical wear and tear (most often around the centre position), and better withstand the effects of moisture and dust. The control is therefore more accurate and reliable.
To control other functions, there are 4 three-position switches, 2 two-position (1 momentary) switches, 2 rotary side dials, 4 user-programmable buttons (front) and 2 momentary buttons (rear), 2 programmable mixer rotary knobs, and 4 digital trims. Trim levers and knobs are all-metal, precision CNC-machined. The controller layout and body ergonomics are based on the proven and extensively tested V20 transmitter design.
The transmitter body is robust and perfectly fits the hand. Rubber grips on the sides and back of the transmitter provide a firm, comfortable and secure grip. From here, you can reach all the controls without difficulty. The gimbals are located close to the edges of the transmitter. Also available separately are long tuning levers with a switch. Of course, there is also the possibility to adjust the centring strength and ratcheting of the stick springs. So to change the mode, just select the desired mode in the settings menu, and in a few moments, adjust the throttle lever lock.
The built-in flash memory with a capacity of 128 MB stores all your models or scripts. If even this is too little, you can expand it with a MicroSD card. To access the memory, you use the USB-C connector, which also serves for charging. A built-in balancer will take care of your 2S lithium 2600mAh battery power.
