O.S.-kaksitahtimoottorit ovat aina olleet johtavia tuotteita yrityksen historiallisessa tuotevalikoimassa. Vuosien varrella O.S. on tarjonnut laajan valikoiman moottoreita eri iskutilavuuksilla erilaisille lentokoneille. AX-sarja ilmentää uutta konseptiamme tässä tuotevalikoimassa, ja siihen on nyt lisätty uusi malli, 55AX. MAX-120AX:n suunnittelufilosofiaan perustuva MAX-55AX on varustettu samalla ”Slant Head” -sylinterikannella ja sylinterin siipiprofiililla sekä neliömäisellä ”Power Box” -äänenvaimentimella. Uusin malli on kehitetty keskittyen kolmeen pääkohtaan: kaksitahtimoottorin voimakkaaseen tehoon, helposti säädettävään kaasuttimeen ja naapureita häiritsevän melutason merkittävään alentamiseen.
MAX-55AX on onnistunut täyttämään nämä vaatimukset, ja toivottavasti MAX-55AX:n ostajat nauttivat tämän moottorin kehitystyöstä.
